Code of Conduct for the Weekend
1. Although Coding for Community is a competition, it is agreed we are all working for the common good and therefore will make every effort to respect each other’s opinions, foster collaboration and encourage everyone to participate to the best of their abilities.
2. Teams may be composed of 1 to 8 people. We encourage all team members to be on campus for the duration of the Hackathon. However, at least one participant on any team must be physically present for the Friday night opening and the final presentations on Sunday at noon.
3. Participants will register their project and all team members on ChallengePost no later than 10am on Saturday to be considered for the prizes.
4. Participants may begin a project at any stage, but will only be judged on the work completed over the Coding for Community Hackathon weekend (beginning Friday at 6pm and running until noon on Sunday).
5. Prize money is distributed to the team. Unless otherwise agreed upon in advance by the entirety of the team, prize money will be divided between all team members equally.
6. Participants own all rights to their project, but grant Goucher College’s Graduate Programs permission to showcase the project in any form for promotional and/or educational purposes.
7. Participants are encouraged to provide appropriate credit for their project using the following language:
“Coding for Community: A Civic Hackathon, hosted by Goucher College Graduate Programs in Cultural Sustainability, Digital Arts, Environmental Studies, and Management”
